Občané mířící do USA musí vlastnit biometrický pas, který vydává ČR od září roku 2006, nepotřebují ale pro cestu do USA vízum. Víza jsou nahrazena elektronickým systémem cestovních autorizací (ESTA). Pro řízení motorových vozidel v USA cizincem je nutný mezinárodní řidičský průkaz (MŘP)
